Yungaburra Waterfront Developments is part of a local family legacy that has spanned more than 80 years.

Cairns Plywoods Pty Ltd operated as a timber manufacturer in Far North Queensland since before World War II. Purchased by the Rankine Brothers in the 1960s, it continued to manufacture plywood for Cairns and the Tablelands until the late 1980s.

In 2006, the new (and current) generation of the Rankine family helped take the next step in the company’s evolution by selling high-quality residential land in Yungaburra and, later, acreage developments closer to Malanda.

Always looking toward the future, the Rankine family have recently decided to rename their business Yungaburra Waterfront Developments. While the new name reflects their latest venture of providing clients with high-quality and unique waterfront residential blocks, it carries with it almost a century’s worth of respect, honour and admiration.

The Rankine family has held the blue-chip Yungaburra Waterfront site for the last 46 years and only now decided to open it up to the public. Working closely with a dedicated team of consultants to help assure that each project is delivered on time and to an excellent standard, Yungaburra Waterfront Developments are expecting to see their latest vibrant and exciting estate attract new residents to the area and help boost the local economy. Buyers, residents and investors will, of course, also be able to share in the ongoing capital gains that such a quality piece of real estate in a prime location is likely to generate.

Yungaburra Waterfront Developments, in one incarnation or another, has been a proud family-run business since 1938. It has earned its reputation as being trustworthy, respected and uncompromising. Yungaburra Waterfront, its latest venture in high-quality real estate, is set to continue in the same tradition.
